Salt & Aloes in Woventopia
Edith Bellot, in the national dress of Dominica, 1961
A quick item of note!
I wanted to share the news that the “Radical Bandana” is part of Volume 3 of Wovenutopia. It’s a beautiful publication with an equally beautiful mission to “celebrate fiber as a mirror to past, present, and future”. Through historical research, studio visits, interviews, community forum space, events, and educational resources, Wovenutopia defines itself as a space to celebrate the women past and present who reimagine our world in fiber.
That said, the inclusion of one of the most recent pieces from Salt & Aloes on this platform is something worth celebrating - and definitely worth celebrating with friends & family like you!

You’ll also find textile resources and artist profiles - it’s a bit of a treasure trove.
Be back with more Salt & Aloes shortly - I’m finally settling into the Fall semester and pushing my fiber work as well. Some of that recent work is online at www.laurenbaccus.com
Love around the globe!
